Adam Bratt

Ecologist

Adam is Senior Ecologist at Blackdown Environmental in East Devon and a Zoology graduate of the University of Aberdeen. He has worked as an ecological consultant in the South West of England for over 6 years and has contributed to a diverse range of projects including residential developments, mineral sites, transport projects and renewable energy infrastructure including solar and wind developments. Adam has worked as a consultant on a number of projects in the Plymouth area and has contributed as a guest lecturer on the MSc in Environmental Consultancy at Plymouth University as well as providing ecological training to other practicing ecologists. Adam is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) and holds Natural England protected species licences for bats, dormice and great crested newts. Adam has a particular interest and experience in providing mitigation for bat species and badgers. Prior to becoming a consultant Adam participated in research projects in both Britain and abroad including Svalbard, Madagascar and the Highlands and Islands of Scotland where he contributed to studies of seabird diet, sheep tick ecology and pink-footed goose grazing interactions.
