Pegasus Life secured planning permission through public inquiry for a Sarah Wigglesworth Architects scheme for a C2 assisted living community at The Knowle, Sidmouth, Devon. The Design Review Panel (www.designreviewpanel.co.uk) were instructed by East Devon District Council (EDDC) to provide multidisciplinary, expert, independent and impartial guidance and feedback to the local authority, applicant and design team during the pre-application design stage.

Design Review Panel Training 2017

Book a Bristol Design Review Panel Session 

To book one or more Design Review Panel Sessions in Bristol please use the online booking system below.

 

1.5 hour Sessions can be booked on any of the available dates, a minimum of 14 days in advance with payment.

  • Having selected a session & entered the relevant details into the booking system, you will receive an automatically generated email, provisionally reserving  the session selected.

 

  • Payment is due at the time of reservation and bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of cleared funds payment

 

  • Once payment has been made bookings cannot be cancelled or postponed and are non-refundable.

 

  • Information to be reviewed by the Panel is to be provided to the Panel administrator no later than 7 days in advance of the booked session date, using the blue  'Upload Files' button above

 

  • The Panel reserves the right to cancel or postpone a session.

 

  • A written feedback document is provided 14 working days after a session has taken place. Feedback provided by the Panel is opinion and suggestion only and does not constitute professional advice.

The Design Reviw Panel TM provides regular independant, impartial and multidiciplinary, Bristol design review panel sessions covering the Bristol and Bath area.

 

Bristol City Council acknowldeges that the design panel reveiw process as being an effective means of early consultation and suggest it is a process best carried out during the pre-application stage of a project.

 

Furthermore Bristol City Council notes on its website that:-

 

"The National Planning Policy Framework requires that Local planning authorities should have local design review arrangements in place to provide assessment and support to ensure high standards of design".

 

Our Panel, The Design Review Panel is independant from the local authority and applicants therefore be assured that the feedback porvided by our design review panel is entirely impartial.

 

 

 

The Design Reviw Panel TM provides regular independant, impartial and multidiciplinary, Bath design review panel sessions covering the Bristol and Bath area.

 

Bath and North East Somerset Council states on its website that it expects all new development to be of the highest quality and that it is committed to raising the standard of design.  They state that they therefore positively support the use of design review in the assessment of the design quality of development proposals. Furthermore Bath and North East Somerset Council notes on its website that:-

 

"Accordingly, Bath and North East Somerset Council endorses the referral of appropriate schemes to local and national design panels."
