- Lead on the preparation of urban design studies, masterplans, informal site concept statements and developers’ advice notes, to inform the development and implementation of planning policies, and the development management process including advice on the opportunities to add value through development ~Prepare design statements, reports, technical papers, evidence and other information for presentation at meetings, committees, public inquiries and to outside organisations. - Develop briefs, assist with the engagement of consultants and management of contracts for specialist work, urban development proposals, applications and projects. - Provide professional and specialist support to colleagues to ensure the delivery of integrated, comprehensive design functions across the service. - Provide specialist professional advice on urban design matters, particularly relating to regeneration initiatives and proposals with significant urban design implications, and as appropriate, on planning policy and development management matters
