Pegasus Life secured planning permission through public inquiry for a Sarah Wigglesworth Architects scheme for a C2 assisted living community at The Knowle, Sidmouth, Devon. The Design Review Panel (www.designreviewpanel.co.uk) were instructed by East Devon District Council (EDDC) to provide multidisciplinary, expert, independent and impartial guidance and feedback to the local authority, applicant and design team during the pre-application design stage.

We know it is a very challenging time for everyone and we want to continue to support applicants and local authorities. Therefore over the coming months, we look forward to working with you when developing the best approaches and technology solutions to delivering our services.

We are continuing to offer the same high quality, expert, multidisciplinary and independent design review panel meetings online, utilising video conferencing. Sessions (which will now be carried out via video conferencing) should be booked using our online booking system in the usual way.  In light of Government advice, we are not currently offering face to face meetings.

The Design Review Panel provides its independent and impartial services directly to applicants, design teams and local authorities across the entire south west, including: Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.

Local Authorities Suppporting Design Review in the South West

Applicants may book a Design Review Panel sessions directly with the Panel for projects located anywhere in the south west, and the Panel's feedback is a material consideration in the planning process as per the National Planning Policy Framework. The Design Review Panel is actively used by local authorities across the region that have subscribed to using this Design Review Panel Service as part of their pre application process.   • 1.5 hour Sessions can be booked on any of the avilable dates, a minimum of 14 days in advance with payment. 

 

  • Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of cleared funds payment, and payments received are non-refundable.

 

  • Information to be reviewed by the Panel is to be provided to the Design Review Panel using the blue 'Upload Files' button above, no later than 10 days in advance of the booked session date.
