Ian Firth

Chartered Surveyor

Ian began trading as Bondstones as a sole practitioner back in 2012, however it quickly became apparent that the demand for Bondstones' services was far higher than an individual could manage alone. In early 2015 he took the decision to grow the practice beyond the "power of one" and incorporated the company with a view to expansion. He is well known (and frequently recommended) for his quick understanding and empathy for clients - and particularly in finding (and deciphering) their individual needs and wants, often in testing circumstances. Ian graduated from Seale Hayne College (UoP) in 2001 having initially studied Estate Management. After a short stint in the Civil Service (MAFF / DEFRA) he subsequently became an ADAS consultant - working with several other well known firms prior to first going it alone in back in 2007. Aside from managing his own business interests, Ian has also worked within MAFF / DEFRA (at an executive level) and, for a time, worked as resident agent to a renowned Sporting Estate in the Chiltern Hills, Buckinghamshire and with additional interests in South Wales. His experience and skills in rural planning, architectural design and entrepreneurship enable him to provide straight forward - articulate - no-nonsense advice and recommendations (to those that are prepared to listen!) In 2016 Ian was accepted as a member of the Design Review Panel
