Michael Joffe
Landscape Architect
Michael Joffe is a Chartered Landscape Architect with over 15 years experience in landscape and visual impact assessment and design, and has also provided Expert Witness. His portfolio includes working at Colvin and Moggridge with Hal Moggridge to produce the Edinburgh View Framework; at BartonWillmore (Soho), he undertook design and assessment of tall buildings against London’s protected view corridors; at edp, he provided LVIA, LVA and EIA services, for schemes such as Northampton SUE, design of one of the UK’s largest solar farms adjacent to Croome Park, and project managing complex bat mitigation and POS strategies for residential development in Cheddar. Most recently, at DLA, he has specialised in smaller-scale proposals such as researching and designing the unique outdoor environment required for Brockworth SEMH School, which is due to open in September 2022.
Michael has also found particular interest in the deep contextual analysis and design of Paragraph 79/80 proposals - currently at six - where he has had the good fortune to work with the country’s leading Paragraph 80 Architectural practice. The forum of DRP presentations and discussions has been deeply gratifying, opening up new ideas and challenging run-of-the-mill. In the spring of 2022, Michael set up Joffe Landscape Architects Ltd.
