Morris Architectural Design
Morris Architectural Design is a young and dynamic, design led architectural practice. Set up by Nathaniel Morris, we are proud of the personal service that we provide, always at hand every step of the way.
After graduating from the University of Kent in 2012 Nathaniel spent some time in the South East gaining a thorough grounding in the technicalities of the construction industry. First taking up a post as a CAD technician for a steel fabricator, primarily producing working drawings and bending schedules for both cut and bent steel rebar and pre-fabricated units such as ground beams, pile cages, pile caps etc. During his time there Nathaniel was fortunate enough to be involved with the design, manufacture and delivery of the pile cages for the New American Embassy in central London, as well as the reinforced concrete rings for the New Crossrail project in central London.
Nathaniel also spent some time working as a roof truss designer for a national timber engineering company and is fully conversant with roof design and timber engineering.
Since relocating to the South West, Nathaniel has worked for several architectural practices and has a wealth of experience of all things residential, with a particular knowledge for rural architecture. He has extensive experience with barn conversions, whether it be under Class Q of the general permitted development order, or the more traditional full planning route.
When not working Nathaniel likes to fill his time enjoying the Devonshire countryside and coast with his young family, and particularly enjoys spending time up on Dartmoor or visits to the North Devon coast.
