Extra Care Development by Sarah Wigglesworth Architects

Pegasus Life secured planning permission through public inquiry for a Sarah Wigglesworth Architects scheme for a C2 assisted living community at The Knowle, Sidmouth, Devon. The Design Review Panel (www.designreviewpanel.co.uk) were instructed by East Devon District Council (EDDC) to provide multidisciplinary, expert, independent and impartial guidance and feedback to the local authority, applicant and design team during the pre-application design stage.

Celebrating an Incredible 2024 with The Design Review Panel


As 2024 draws to a close, we’re thrilled to reflect on yet another exceptional year for The Design Review Panel. The demand for our truly independent and impartial reviews continues to grow, reaffirming the value of thoughtful, expert-led feedback in shaping the future of the built environment.


This year, we’ve had the privilege of reviewing an incredible array of projects across England, from large-scale housing developments to smaller bespoke schemes, spanning a wide range of sectors. Whether through online sessions or in-person reviews, our mission to elevate the quality of design remains at the heart of everything we do.


A huge thank you to our dedicated volunteer Panel members who make this possible. Your expertise, insights, and unwavering professionalism are the backbone of our success. A special shoutout to our brilliant chairs—Andrew Robbins, Tim Burton, Jonathan Vernon-Smith, Graham Devine, and Manos Stellakis—for leading sessions with such skill and commitment. Your guidance and excellence have been instrumental in another fantastic year.


As we wrap up 2024, we’re filled with excitement for what lies ahead. With the continued support of our incredible network of professionals, we’re ready to make 2025 even more impactful.
